Bring all your vices and vittles with you, adorned with numbers from a meditative practice of Elbert, the founding core member of L’Arche Chicago, now passed. Elbert spent many hours doing numbers like the ones on this tote, taking care to copy numbers that stood out to him from receipts, manuals, and other ephemera onto any paper he could find. These numbers are thoughtfully arranged over a translation chart of perfect and imperfect tenses in Greek from a notebook gifted by Carlo, a friend of L’Arche who lived in community.
