Elbert spent many hours doing numbers like the ones on this durable and lightweight mug, taking care to copy numbers that stood out to him from receipts, manuals, and other ephemera onto any paper he could find. These numbers are thoughtfully arranged over a translation chart of perfect and imperfect tenses in Greek and the story of Jesus healing a blind man by putting mud on his eyes, from a notebook gifted by Carlo, a friend of L’Arche who lived in community. Now these moments can accompany you as you venture outdoors, go fishing, or sit in the morning and take in the day.
