Our Chicago community was honored to welcome 30 guests representing different levels of leadership in L’Arche International, including our Vice International Leaders Patrick Fontaine, Eileen Glass and our National Leader Joan Mahler. Other guests included national leaders and international envoy teams from as far away as Zimbabwe and Indonesia. For some of them this was their first time in the USA, and for some they haven't been here in a long time.

A special highlight for our community was hosting our guests and board members for a celebration at the Arts of Life, catered by our friends at Rogue Philanthropy. Not only were we able to share time with our new and old L’Arche friends from all over the world, but we were also able to share our relationship with Arts of Life and showcase their great mission in Chicago.

We’re so thankful that the group chose Chicago as their meeting spot and hope to see them again! We’re also very grateful to all our board members, volunteers, and our Regional Leader Nick Connell who made airport runs, ran errands, and provided warm hospitality to everyone!

Being together as an international body, united by our shared mission, left us energized and renewed to reveal the gifts of people with intellectual disabilities, witnessing unity in diversity.
